We took the 2-day slow river boat to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its architecture and rich history. Next, we spent 4 days in Vang Vieng before heading to the capital, Vientiane.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The country remains incredibly well-preserved, making it a haven for nature lovers and adventurers. Though Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng had reputations of being \u2018party towns\u2019 targeting young solo backpackers, we found both places (though very different from one another) to be very safe and laidback. There were definitely some bars that remained open well into the night but it felt like most people were there to enjoy the surrounding nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were absolutely blown away by the waterfalls, caves, hikes, and viewpoints Laos had to offer.
